Maryville Rebels Football Helmet

Well the end of the 2014 Tennessee high school football regular season has come to an end. What have we learned this year going into the TSSAA playoffs this November a lot of questions still linger for many teams. Starting on Friday November 7th teams from all across Tennessee will be strapping the pads on one more time. The 6A  bracket features many of Tennessee’s High School powerhouse programs led by Maryville, Science Hill, Blackman, Oakland, Ravenwood, Hendersonville and Whitehaven  just to name a few. Can Maryville repeat as the state champions for back to back seasons? Can Blackman bounce back from a Hoover defeat on last week? Can surprise team McGavock Raiders make a surprise push past the first round? Hendersonville Commandos were the runner-up to Maryville  last year will this be their year?
This bracket has six 5-5 teams that barely got into the playoffs, which one of those teams will be the Cinderella team?

Arlington, Houston, Memphis Central, Whitehaven are the top teams coming from West Tennessee. Moving into Middle Tennessee you have Blackman, Cookeville, Oakland, Ravenwood, Hendersonville, and McGavock leading the way. We move over to East Tennessee where something about that part of the state breeds champions in high school football. Let’s start with current state champion Maryville, then Science Hill, Dobyns Bennett, and  a really  good Sevier County team.
There are several division 1 committed players spread throughout this years play-offs. Memphis Whitehaven is led defensively by Alabama commit Joshua Mcmillon, while Nashville Overton is led by Ole Miss commit Ugo Amadi, and Ravenwood’s wide receiver sensation Van Jefferson who will be taking his talents to Georgia Bulldogs.
In closing, the 6a bracket will definitely be one of the most competitive brackets we’ve seen in quite some time.  Maryville, Science Hill, Blackman, Oakland, Ravenwood, Whitehaven, Cookeville and Hendersonville sit at the top of our list of the top 8 teams to most likely be playing into December this year.
