Have you heard about Bryce Robinson

Jackie Robinson, David Robinson, Sugar Ray Robinson and Bryce Robinson all have something in common. Now you obviously may know the answer already but do you know the last person, Bryce Robinson?

Bryce Robinson is currently the starting quarterback for the Clarksville Academy Cougars. Ever since the age of three, Robinson has had the pig-skin in his hands. Bryce’s father, Mike Robinson recalled growing up that the Steelers and Titans was the first thing he saw. Who didn’t want to be Ben Roethlisberger and Steve McNair growing up?

Attending his first football camp at the age of seven, Bryce and his father knew what he was destined to play. Robinson attended camps all throughout his younger years with camps like the Manning Passing Academy and Football University, to name two.

In 2014, Thomas Morris with QB Country D1 helped train Robinson. QB country is a year round quarterback training and development facility. They offer specific quarterback training focusing on the proper footwork, throwing and body mechanics as well as the mental and physical aspects of being a quarterback. AJ McCarron, Paxton Lynch, Cardale Jones and Jacob Coker, are just a few of Morris’s clientele he works with.

In Bryce’s final year in middle school with the Richview Cowboys, he amassed 17 touchdowns in eight games. He then went on to play for CA his freshman year starting in four games. Bryce threw for over 400 yards and four TD’s.

In the summer of 2015, Bryce received word that he was invited to join Buck Fitzgerald’s National Playmakers Academy in Nashville which is where we first noticed Bryce.  That day Bryce stood out among several talented quarter backs, simply due to the fact that the majority of his throws were sharp and on point. Not only was he accurate but could also put some muscle behind the ball and stretch the field.

Bryce’s play making ability will get him noticed over the next two and a half years of his high school career but Bryce’s personality and hard work ethic will get him noticed for the rest of his life. Bryce is only a sophmore this year however he has stepped into the role of a starter as well as a team leader. If you are in the Clarksville area take a Friday night and go check out Bryce and the Clarksville Academy Cougars this year.
