Metro Jamboree Night 2 was a hit! Between Mount Juliet Christian starting the night off with a great game against Glencliff with a final score of 35-0 MJC coming out with the win.  They played a very good game of football, head coach Dan Davis said, “The biggest thing we talk about is doing the little things right and being aggressive”.  He named a few of their big players including the Quarterback Alex Pitman (6-SR) referring to him as the teams trigger man and speaking on his 31 ACT score, also mentioning a few other players David Hylick (66-SR) on OL/DL and Darius Hylick (5-JR) at outside linebacker referring to both of these young men as beasts.  Darius holds offers from Arkansas State along  with University of Tennessee Chattanooga.  Coach Davis seems to have a very positive outlook going into this season and we can’t wait to see what is to come for the guys over at MJC this season.

Firebird – Boro faceoff!  An intense game that will have you on the edge of your seat is how some people would describe it.  The game was kicked off full of energy and had nothing but excitement the whole time.  Both sides of the ball for both teams was played very well, however the Boros came out on top.  Big plays were made for boths teams but both teams had their fatal flaws, making mistakes that cost both teams penalties toward the end of the game.  Overall it being a match up for coach Fitzgerald and the Buros against the Firebirds with his previous coaching with the Pearl Cohn in 1990-2005.  Coach Fitzgerald referred to the game as a “community thing” and saying he was very pleased.  Hillsboro will open their regular season against Brentwood Academy and the Firebirds will play against RePublic on friday August 18th at 7pm.
