Win or Die Class 6A Region 6. The Fight for the Region 6-6A title has officially gotten better.  After a night of troubles for the Independence  Eagles having 5 interceptions thrown.  The Brentwood Bruins trounced the Eagles 42-14. This game wasn’t necessarily a win or die game, but will however have a huge impact on both teams’ bid for the top seed in the region. With a record of 3-3 for the Eagles and 6-1 for the Bruins, they are going to have a say in the rest of this Regions rankings for everyone else.  Brentwood as it’s stands, is number one in this region, which consists of 6 schools (in no particular order): Brentwood, Centennial, Dickson County, Franklin, Independence, and Ravenwood. Each of the six teams faced a regional opponent in week 7: Brentwood 42/Independence 14, Centennial 24/ Franklin 21, and Ravenwood 38/ Dickson co. 7. Tickets to playoffs have been punched, but the championship is still up for grabs following Week 7.  Here are the teams in the running for the Region 6-6A championship game: Brentwood, Centennial, Independence, and Ravenwood.  Brentwood sits at 6-1, 5-2 for Ravenwood, 3-3 for Independence, and Centennial is 3-4. The league play is all that matters at this point and here is the break down and deciding factors (league records): Centennial, Ravenwood, and Brentwood all at 3-1, and Independence 2-1.  With Independence at 2-1 in Region play they have 2 Region games left (Ravenwood and Dickson Co.), Centennial and Brentwood 3-1 have 1 game left to play which will be against each other, Ravenwood 3-1 with 1 game left (Independence). This is anyone’s championship.
