Mt. Pleasant Football/Weight Lifting Takes 1st Place at NASA Competition

On April 14 members of the Mt. Pleasant football team competed and won the 2nd Annual MonStars At The Mount Combine and weightlifting competition. 11 teams including Spring Hill, Central, Cascade, CA, Wayne County, Collinwood, Cornersville, East Hickman, Hickman Co and Lewis co sent 150 competitors with each winning awards in the Bench Press, PowerClean, Deadlift and Combine Competitions. Mt Pleasant won the overall team award.

Then on April 21 the Mt Pleasant Football and Powerlifting team placed first in the State Championships of Powerlifting by the Natural Athletic Strength Association www.nasa-sports.com besting three other teams and winning several individual awards.
