4 Can’t Miss Games Week 7

Hillsboro Burros at Beech Buccaneers

Beech quietly sits undefeated over in Sumner County while a few of the other undefeated teams have stolen all of the headlines this season. If they can get past division rival Hillsboro this Friday then we believe that they will have a few more headlines with their name on them. Many people, my self included, lost interest in Hillsboro after dropping big games to Indy, Brentwood Academy and Gallatin. However, the truth is that if Hillsboro can pull off this upset they are still in the race for Class 5A Region 6’s title with Beech still having to play Gallatin.

Cornersville Bulldogs at Fayetteville Tigers

We are calling this the Class 1A Region 3 Title game. Fayetteville shot themselves in the foot with a week 5 regional loss to Moore County. Cornersville has one loss as well, however their loss is not a regional loss. If Fayetteville can find a way to pull this win out then they will own the tie breaker with a head 2 head win. All Cornersville has to do is win out…but first they have to find a way to stop Brandon Moore and that high powered offense! Easy-peazy right!

Mt. Juliet Bears at Rossview Hawks

We here at D1 Highlights caught a lot of flack from the Rossview players for dismissing them for being able to score on the Bears defense much less beat them! Listen to our podcast to check out the commentary during the show. Our advice to Rossview was simple…”Prove Us Wrong”! Ain’t nothing wrong with a little motivation from ya boys here at D1 Highlights. If you can score on M.J.’s brick wall of a defense you will have our respect…if you can beat them we will dedicate a whole segment of our show to The Rossview Hawks.

Brentwood Bruins at Independence Eagles

This match-up is simple…Winner stays alive in 6A Region 6…loser Not so much! Many high school football enthusiast counted the twice defeated Indy Eagles out this season after an emotional loss to cross town rival Summit and crushing loss on tv to the mighty Oakland Patriots. But…they’re still alive and kicking. Don’t count them out yet…unless one loss Brentwood lays the hammer down.
