The Tennessee Exposures High School Football combine appeared to be a huge success. The event was held  Sunday May 5th at TSU’s brand new  indoor practice complex. This is the fourth year for the combine ran by In Full Motion and Next Level Training.

Michael Sawyers

Michael Sawyers, Ensworth High School

A large number of top prospects made their presence known, starting with Ensworth Defensive Tackle Michael Sawyers.  Sawyers left Sunday with the “Top Overall Performer” distinction. Michael simply dominated all aspects of his position. His fast hands, quick feet and low center of gravity all help to make Michael a dominate force on the line of scrimmage. Jack Jones of the Oakland Patriots received the “Top Offensive Performer” award. Jones is a recent University of Tennessee commit. He also received an offer from Middle Tennessee State University. Jones stands 6’4″ at 265lbs, he will definitely be a force to recon with on the line of scrimmage this year in Murfeesboro.

“Top defensive underclassman” went to Kyle Phillips, Defensive End from Hillsboro High. Kyle had an impressive 2012 Sophmore season with twelve sacks. His Junior season should be something to look forward to.

“Top Offensive Underclassmen” went to A.J. Morris, Sophmore WR for Pearl Cohn High School. With A.J’S route running skills and confidence on the field anyone surely would have thought that he was going into his Senior season. He is a big physical wide receiver and any smart college coach would be happy to have him on his team.
