One of the biggest surprises midway through the season is the Shelbyville Eagles as they sit at 3-1 currently. This same time last year the 2017 Eagle team was 2-2 with losses to Tullahoma, Marshall County and wins over Warren and Lincoln Counties. This year with wins over Tullahoma, Warren and Lincoln Counties, the Eagles will host Stewart’s Creek with hopes of revenge game from last season where the Red Hawks trounced them 56-32.

The most impressive aspect to the Eagles this year is that they are holding teams to an average of 15 points per game while the offense is averaging 35 points per game respectively. Second-year head coach Justin Palmer has the Eagles defense flying around the ball anchored by Gary Smith on the line. Offensively, Senior quarterback Grayson Trammel has an arsenal of talented skill players at his disposal like Malachi Burns, Airius Trice, and junior running back Caleb Marsh out of the backfield. This years squad is worth the price of admission as they look to do big things the second half of the season starting with Stewart’s Creek this Friday night!
