The Ravenwood | Nolensville Split: 2018 marks the senior year of the graduating class of football players affected by Nolensville High School being built therefore producing a split in the State Champion Ravenwood Raptors.

Nolensville was a much anticipated and appreciated addition to the Williamson County School system, however most of us did not anticipate that along with the split of Ravenwoods student body also would go Ravenwoods Head Football coach Will Hester to start the new athletic program for the Knights. Most of us thought that the two programs would be in a state of turmoil for a few years, Ravenwood due to losing some key athletes and coaches, Nolensville for being a new program without a senior class for two whole seasons. In 2017 both programs proved us wrong, first year head coach Matt Daniels lead the Raptors to a region 6-6A championship and Nolensville made the playoffs in their first year of full competition in class 4A.

2016 served as a JV year for Nolensville and led to a very average 7-6 for the normally spectacular Ravens. In 2018 we look forward to seeing what it will hold for now first year head coach Paul Derrick at Nolensville after another Will Hester departure. Paul is excited for his senior class and for the chance to build off of last years playoff success. Matt Daniels and the Raptors are finally in a regular ruitine going into his second year as head coach with expectations of another region championship.
