We are gearing up for the 2018 football season and looking into our top ten running backs in the mid-state.  Former Nashville Christian Eagles running back, and yes you read that correctly…Former, Xavier Myers has transferred to Oakland High School in Murfreesboro to finish his high school career. We will debate our pre-season top ten running backs in the mid-state on the next #D1Highlights Radio, but we are pretty sure that Xavier will be on all of our lists. The only question we have is will he fit into Coach Creasy’s system as seamlessly as he did into Nashville Christian’s offense. The 2017 Mr. Football finalist put up 2,634 rushing yards and 35 touchdowns as a junior and was the talk of the town. We will miss seeing the continuation of the rushing title battle between Xavier and cross-town D2 rival Da’Joun Hewitt at Davidson Academy. Hopefully, they both will atop the states rushing leaders again this year.
