NFL DRAFTRashaan Gaulden is a 6’1” defensive back out of The University of Tennessee. Born in Spring Hill Tennessee Rashaan attended Independence High School where he was the No.6 prospect in the state and No.21 overall at the safety position. Rashaan was an absolute beast at Independence, especially his senior year. He racked up 193 tackles, 117 of them solo and averaged 14.6 Tackles per game. Rashaan also played receiver and tallied up 55 receptions, 885 yards, and twelve touchdowns. As we know, he went on to commit to UT and became a one of the top defensive backs in this 2018 draft. He finished his football career at UT with 140 total tackles, 9.5 for a loss, ten pass defenses, and 4 forced fumbles. We look forward to seeing Rashaan play on Sundays.

D’Montre Wade also plays the defensive back position. D’ Montre stands 6 foot tall and enters the draft out of Murray State University. He attended high school at powerhouse Brentwood Academy were he was a workhorse at running back for the Eagles. His senior year alone he gained 1,334 yards on the ground, 126 receiving yards, and 19 total touchdowns, including seven 100+yard games. To let you know how talented this man is, he made the switch to defensive back once at Murray State and flourished. His senior year he recorded six interceptions(led the OVC), 13 passed defended, 33 tackles and two for a loss. Wade also was named to first-team All OVC.

Both of these young men have a chance to have their name called on that podium. The chance to get that phone call from an NFL coach telling them that they want them on his team. A chance start a new journey. A chance to live out one of their dreams. The chance to play in the NFL.
